Bulkowski's Triple Top Quiz

Released 1/10/2020.

Triple Top: Quiz

Below is a slider quiz to test your ability to identify triple tops and trade them. Captions appear below the pictures in red for guidance, so be sure to scroll down far enough to read them.

1 / 7
chart pattern
The pattern labeled 123 is a triple top once price closes below the lowest valley between the three peaks. That happens at A. Notice in this example that the launch price, B, matches the valley at C. Thus, you can use the launch price (where the stock goes vertical leading to the start of the triple top) as a target. Just recognize it rarely works... Let's try to find triple tops on the next slide.
2 / 7
chart pattern
Find as many triple tops as you can. For help, click here.
3 / 7
chart pattern
I show the triple top as 123, confirmed as a valid pattern at A (when price closes below the lowest valley between the 3 peaks). BCD is not a triple top but it's better characterized at an inverted roof. There's another triple top at 45D. Care to try again (next slide)?
4 / 7
chart pattern
Find as many triple tops as you can, but include a symmetrical triangle and double bottom (Eve and Adam).
5 / 7
chart pattern
AB is the double bottom. 123 is the triple top. The two red lines show the symmetrical triangle. Next, let's try trading the triple top on the next slide.
6 / 7
chart pattern
I show one triple top but there's another one on the chart. Find it. And guess how far price will drop, line A, B, C, or D, none of the above.
7 / 7
chart pattern
I show both triple tops. Price dropped to line A before rebounding.
